February 23, 2018

More student success to celebrate this week with the recent full-time appointment of Gary Conrad (FHSS, Political Economy) to the Social Security Tribunal of Canada for a term ending May 28, 2020. A resident of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Gary is one of eight members to be named to the Tribunal, a two-level appeal structure for the purpose of rendering fair and impartial appeal decisions related to Employment Insurance (E.I.) and Income Security, including Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security.

"I am confident that our appointed members will be and will continue to be hard-working decision-makers committed to serving the interest of Canadians as effectively and efficiently as possible," said the Hon. Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, in a Feb. 1 news release announcing the appointments.

Congratulations, Gary!
